Senior Account Executive Position

MarketWave, an award-winning Dallas marketing and PR firm recently ranked #8 on the Dallas Business Journal’s Top 25 Largest PR Agencies list, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Senior Account Executive role in January 2011 to lead at least two accounts, and support projects in the healthcare, energy and technology industry areas. Applicants should have the following qualifications:

• 5-7 years of marketing, corporate communications and/or PR experience
• An undergraduate degree in journalism, marketing or communications
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Social media experience and an understanding of how to strategically leverage social media to meet client objectives
• Strong project management experience, including timelines, budgets, a variety of tactics and team delegation
• Experience in working with the news media, writing in AP style and understanding how to create a compelling media pitch
• Presentation skills including PowerPoint creation, scripting and delivery; leading client and team meetings
• Previous experience with an agency is preferred based on a hands-on understanding of client service, juggling multiple projects and deadlines, and operating with daily intensity in a fast-paced environment
